A exceptional dining experience. My partner and I had Entree , Mains & desert . All dishes previously untried . They were all delicious and satisfying. Our waitress Ella was helped guide us expertly through the menu. Ella is very professional and personable as a waitress. Such a wonderful experience we booked to come back the next day for dinner.would highly recommend Greg & Vicky

Absolutely stunning place to eat! Food is beautiful and the building is stunning!!! We were served by Shanu and he just made the experience for us!!! Such a wonderful waiter who shared so much history of the building with us. He was also kind and exceptionally attentive! Would go back here just to see him. Amazing. Everyone must experience this if in Edinburgh

The Grand Cafe is a STUNNING restaurant! The decor, the live piano music, the DELICIOUS food and great service. It is the poshest place my friends and I dined at in Edinburgh this week on holiday from the United States. All three of us enjoyed every single thing we ordered...every single one! Our server/waiter Shanmukh was wonderful, very attentive to our questions and dietary needs. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We past by this posh looking restaurant. Menu is reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the Venison stew and Liqueur Coffee here. Will be back for the coffee in one of the afternoon!

We had the lovely Shanmukh serving us for our Sunday Roast. The best roast I have had and wonderful service. Friendly and attentive but not overbearing! Halfway through our booking there was a pianist and singer that started performing which created a really lovely ambiance. Highly recommend.

The hostess wasn’t very welcoming. When I mentioned I was staying at the hotel, she wasn’t pleasant at all. One of the chairs was uncomfortable, and it took the manager to move me to a better seat. However, the food was good, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Room service was exceptional thank you! I definitely recommend staying here if you’re in town for the Fringe or Edinburgh Military Tattoo. It's conveniently close to these events.

Very glad we dined at the Grand Cafe. We were walk-in’s for dinner the first night and liked it so much that we decided to come back for brunch the next day. The restaurant was fully booked for dinner when we arrived but the Maitre d’ showed us to a “spare” table and took our order himself. The dining space was beautiful and the food comparable. Some highlights: mussels, Jerusalem artichoke hot pot, and Scottish Pancakes at breakfast.
